Dean Shams

Communication Strategist

DEAN SHAMS helps leaders and professionals build a strong executive presence, connect with others better and become corporate influencers.

Drawing on his 15 years of experience as a communication strategist, Dean understands the real issues that are preventing professionals from communicating their leadership and expertise.


He frequently uses principles of neuroscience, mindfulness and NLP language patterns in helping them communicate and present themselves with influence and impact.

He founded a marketing communications consultancy, under the brand KinetiqBuzz, in 2005 and has been working with high-growth SMEs and MNCs to ensure that their brand message is sharpened, strengthened and amplified through the media.

Dean has consulted for organisations from a wide range of industries that include fintech, professional services, construction, public sector and Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations. 


He served as the honorary secretary and spokesman for Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS) for three terms in the Executive Council.

Dean is the author of three books—The Publicity Playbook, Speak Smart, Make Your Mark, and The One Thing Journal. His articles have been published in various national media and business magazines. He was also interviewed multiple times on national radio.


Bavani Periasamy

LinkedIn Specialist

Bavani Periasamy is a speaker and coach focusing on gratitude and coaches business owners to boost performance and grow revenue. She had used LinkedIn as her primary tool for increasing her profile and establish her brand.


In just four years, she managed to secure a massive 25,000 connections and attract quality business leads from her network. She firmly believes that social selling is the way to build visibility on LinkedIn and nurturing prospects. Developing relationships is a very critical part of her sales process.


Since 2016, Bavani has been coaching professionals, fresh graduates and the unemployed on her system of leveraging the power of LinkedIn and social selling to build a brand and attract opportunities.


Raven Lim

Podcast Producer

Raven Lim is an award-winning producer who has been working for local production houses and international media powerhouses as Sony Pictures, CNBC and Endeavor.

Back in 2013, Raven co-founded Tomboy Tirade, Asia's first comedy chat podcast. With listeners from around the world, Tomboy Tirade broke barriers during its 4-year run as a pioneering podcast that feature an all-female panel with Asian women as producers and hosts.

Inspired by the experience, she wants to help others launch their
podcast and empower Asian voices. Currently she is a producer for
Creativeatwork’s Freelance Creative Exchange, a podcast about business of freelancing. Freelance Creative Exchange is Singapore's first and leading podcast for creative freelancers.

As one of the pioneer podcasters in Singapore, Raven embarks on a
personal mission to promote the local podcasting industries in Singapore and Asia. In 2019, she co-founded MeaVox Live, a podcast consultation and training company. She is also the co-founder of the Asia Podcast Summit and Asia Podcast Award which are launched in 2019

She was recently chosen by Audio-Technica (S.E.A.) as one of the faces for their Ears of AT campaign.

Outside of work,Raven runs The Podcast Collective Asia, a community group for Asian podcasters, geeks over podcasts and music, travels and hikes among a host of other interests.


Nick La Port

English Language Coach

Nick La Port has helped many people from all walks of life, from early-age to the corporate world to master the English language. He focuses on equipping professionals with tools to effectively and naturally communicate.


It is very common to be able to read and understand everything, but still have poor speaking skills. This is why Nick emphasizes speaking in his lessons, it's producing your own words that can be a challenge.


Nick has taught in 3 different countries over the past 11 years, and for several years he was in Singapore. He helped people become more comfortable in social settings where it was necessary to effectively network.


Many of his clients found that they could easily discuss business, but found it difficult to form solid professional relationships. Nick helps his clients bring out their personality when engaging in conversation, and this led to more trust with their co-workers and clients alike.
